This speculative compact home is designed to take advantage of the naturally-sloping landscape of the Plains and its potential for levels construction in order to maximize depth and minimize cost.
The main living space’s 8’ tall windows, the high, vaulted monoslope ceiling and its clerestory windows allow for abundant natural light and add significant dimension. The living space contains both a minimalist, bar-style countertop kitchen and full craftsman dining table. The lounge area opens onto an elevated deck which looks out from a distinguished vantage onto the backyard and the wide open Plains. A bath- and bedroom, equipped with a spacious master walk-in closet, adjoin the main living space. The basement of the home, accessible from either the lounge area or from the lower rear patio’s window wall, is totally configurable and offers the potential for two additional beds or an additional, open living space.
